Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!

Doesn't she look TERRIFIED???

He he he....having fun

Homemade goodness!

This is right before we went to the trunk or treat....
BEAUTIFUL!
Other than Tyler getting the flu and throwing up all the way home.( poor baby) It was a pretty good day!

YIKES!!!!

Man, where has the time gone???
Here are just a few things we have been up to

Kamas pool with friends over fall break
Boys practicing their Karate
Tyler was a lunch helper
She also had fun making her dad a Mohawk
Tyler got this for her Birthday and
she begs me every day to just let her take it to the bus stop. She doesn't even take the bus
but she is SURE she could make a killing there!
We have also been cutting wood, tons and tons of wood,(Why don't we have pictures of that?)
and finishing our basement.
We are hoping to set up Trav's office down there SOON! This working at the kitchen table is NO fun for anyone!
We are almost there, the carpet is getting installed THIS week.... HOORAY!

So last night was AWFUL!!!
Poor grandma got so sick, I felt awful for her! She was throwing up everywhere every 20 mins or so, it was heartbreaking! And even though I felt terrible that didn’t stop my OCD germaphobic self from kicking it in to high gear!
Trav and I were snuggled up by the fire talking about how sad it was. When I told him we had to open all the windows and cool this place off so that it would kill all the bacteria, never mind that we had already gone through a entire can of Lysol… Hey it even says right on the can “only kills 99.9%” (ok maybe it doesn’t say ONLY… but that is what they mean) so I needed to hurry and get rid of the other .1%
Needless to say it was a very long night … poor grandma didn’t stop throwing up until around 4 am and we all froze our behinds off all night (it will be a small price to pay if no one else gets sick. RIGHT?) And this morning Tyler and I went at it with the bleach…. It is kind of nice to have a sidekick who understands.
Now all we can do is pray no one else gets sick!! PLEASE!

And for the record... YES I know it is not normal to freak out over germs!
And YES I know I go a little overboard when someone does get sick!
And YES I have tried to just let it go (note that I was snuggling on the couch with Trav for a while before I just couldn't take it anymore)
But even knowing all that, I still can’t just NOT do something!!!!
I Know I need help….

Well~ I have survived the last 2 weeks! HOORAY!
Here are a few things I like about my new job…
(For those of you who don’t know, I am working for Wasatch School District)
~ I love that I get go and come home from school with Tyler every day, and Brayden is just a playground away! I am sad that they aren’t in the same school anymore… I miss him!
~ I get to eat lunch with her everyday (if I want to)
~ I get to work with REALLY good (school) kids… I have 1st and 4th graders.
~ I love that I can still take my kids to ALL their after school activities…. Heck they don’t even know anything has changed… BIG BLESSING!
Things I am still trying to adjust to…
~ The way some people send their kids to school…. REALLY??? My heart breaks at the lack of care some kids get…. SHAME ON LAZY PARENTS!!!!!
~ Working 5 days a week…. Yes, I know it is only 5.5 hours a day… but still
~ How school lunch smells… no wonder Tyler takes a lunch every day! YUCK!
~ And not getting to go hang out with my CB&T friends every Friday….. I MISS them!
But all-n-all it has been a good two weeks!
Trav update- Most of you already know but here it is anyway…
He has decided to start his own company (yes, we know there are some of you who don’t think this is a good idea, and if it ends up not working at least he tried. Plus what is it to you anyway???) And he has been doing really well (I knew he would) I just hope it stays busy for him, so he doesn’t drive himself crazy! I know this is a slow time of year normally and just starting up it might be even slower than usual. But don’t worry I have MANY projects that he can do around the house during his down time. (I am hoping that my salon will be finished by the end of this year ; ) We are learning that starting your own company takes LOTS of faith, discipline, hard work and MONEY!!! We have 3 of the 4, so I guess we aren’t doing too badly!
Thanks for all of the prayers on our behalf this last month.
I thank my Heavenly Father every day for blessing us with such wonderful friends and family.
