The Little Miss!

I am going to warn you now that this is going to be a long post full of pictures!
 (and bragging)
Right before school got out the kids had their
Piano Recital
This year she played the Spinning song

Tyler has been super busy this summer already and we are only a month into it! Yes school didn't get out for us til June 1st!
I will start out by saying I can't believe she is going to be in 6th grade this year!
She had a great 5th grade year, getting amazing report cards the entire year. I can't say I am surprised she always tries her hardest at everything she does!

She has also be clogging her guts out, I swear this girl never gets tired of clogging!
Practicing for Lagoon

All of that practice must have paid off, be cause she recived 4 of these!
She was so proud of her self!
( we were proud of her too,
but she said that doesn't count
because we are always proud of her
even when she doesn't do very good)

It wasn't all work and no play, they took a few hours to ride some of the rides :)

Some of Tyler's Clogging friends
Emily,Brylie,Tyler,Zoey,Bailey and Kaitlyn

Tyler and her clogging teacher Tara!
She LOVES her, so it makes it worth all the HOURS we spend every week going to Genola!
All of their hard work paid off.
These two little cuties took FIRST place
EVERY time they did their duet!
they are AWESOME!

After all the competitions were over it was time for clog camp at BYU!

It doesn't seem right dropping my baby off and leaving her in a DORM!
But she LOVES every min of it :)

This is how I left her....they were playing a getting to know you game!

After all of the clogging was over for a while, it was off to go help with the babies again!
Tyler is LOVING have the girls here.
Not going to lie, I was a little or a lot worried that she would be jealous,
(My kids are use to being spoiled by their Aunt Kirsten)
but she is truley  enjoying every min with the girls
and I have not seenor heard her act jealous once.
She is just loving it and is such a good helper!

Sutton getting her toes painted for the first time!
She got pink and Nixon got purple :)

Tyler is now a pro at changing diapers,
feeding them bottles
and getting them dressed
She has been in HEAVEN with these babies!

Tyler has also enjoyed Trav having fridays off. they spend a lot of time playing outside together
They like to play tether ball and 4 square.

Tyler and Trav playing 4 square.
It is one of their favorite games these days!
That is just some of the things she has been up to. We have also gone to St George for clogging
(but I can't seem to find the pictures for that...boo)
and to 7 peaks a few times but I haven't taken my camera yet so no pictures.
I am sure there will be lots more to post next month.

Ps i am not sure why the color changed in the writting.
I tried to change it back, but no go..... so we get what we get!

Okay Linda this one is for you and I will try to be better from now on!

This summer has been a crazy one so far, filled with a lot and I mean LOTS of  Clogging, Karate and Babies! Oh and I better not forget Physical Therapy, and we have LOVED every min of it!
(okay not the PT, but the rest)

At the end of April Trav tried to cut his thumb along with half of his hand off with a splitting maul. As you can guess that was tons of fun. He ended up having a 4.5 hour surgery so they could repair ALL of the tendons, nerves and an artery in this left hand, so he is now enjoying months of PT and pain! Here we are 2 months latter and he still has no feeling and little movement, but at least he still has his hand!

this was about 4days after his surgery

Tyler has been up to nothing but clogging and I PROMISE I will go into more detail on that soon, but for now here is a cute little picture :)

The girls at Lagoon...they rocked it all first places!

And then .....THE BABIES!

Oh how we have been loving going to help take care of these two little ladies ! I too will dedicate a post just to the fun we have been having with them (soon I promise!)

Tyler and Sutton

This is what my kids did the entire time we were there!
I don't think they like these little girls at all :)

I will also update about Brayd and how Trav's hand is doing later, but for now I have got to go....

Well, I have been a MAJOR slacker!

I hadn't realized it has been over two months since I have posted something :(   I swear this time of year just rushes by!
So much has happened, we have been up to our ears in clogging, piano, karate and school projects! I don't know why they all seem to come at once. We have also had the joy of  getting to go to Idaho when my sweet little nieces were born. YES, we are all in love with them and can't wait to go back to snuggle them soon!

Brayden's first day of 1st grade.

And I though sending him to 1st grade ALL day long was bad!
Well, High School registration was tough! They were throwing words around like ACT score, GPA, Foreign language, Seminary, Drivers Ed, College Apps, AP classes, full ride scholarships, 4 short years…..
I swear someone was trying to get us both to have a heart attack! Surprisingly, I wasn’t the one freaking out the most! Don’t get me wrong I am glad, proud even that Brayden cares as much as he does about school. If he keeps it up he is right on track for that scholarship he is so determined to get.
But then comes the flip side to that …the poor kid was hyperventilating the entire time! We have decided (for the mental health of everyone) now that he is registered for High School we are not going to talk about again until Aug! (Try not to that is)

He is a great kid and maybe that is why I just want him to slow down sooooo bad. I see and hear things some kids his age are doing and it makes me sick with worry!  I really wish he could have stayed 6 for a few more years. So far he is growing up to be a really good young man and I am so proud of him and pray my guts out for him every single day! I know these years of life he is going through are tough and the pressure it great. I never realized that the stress of watching/ experiencing Jr. High years as a parent would be so traumatizing.  But with any luck and LOT of prayers and love we will make it through and laugh about it later. Right?

Yes, I cried when I put this picture up... some days I just miss my little 6 year old and all of his snuggles! Don't get me wrong I love my 14.5 year old but the snuggles just aren't the same or as cool! I know I am a big fat baby!!!!

Growing up...

I love these little BFF's who like to do EVERYTHING the same!
Can you tell by the matching outfits, (one of many)
and now matching nails.

Well, Tyler got her first set of beautiful nails done. She paid for them with her very own hard earned money... and she  couldn't be happier. Trav on the other hand couldn't believe I  let her get them. ( I love it when I am not the only one that wants our kids to stay little forever)

I just love these guys!

Yep, this is what I live for......

This picture says it all.
She has him wrapped around her finger

He is getting big so fast,
but lucky for me I still get at least one of these a day!

Hottest man alive....and he is ALL mine ;)

My favorite sidekick!
HANDSOME BOYS!
Our Valentine's Day was kind of a crazy one. We had just gotten home from a 5 day trip to St George, which was BEAUTIFUL (70*) and  MUCH needed! And seeing how Valentine's  was on "Crazy Tuesday" (at our house Tues. are the busiest day of the week. Tyler has clogging in Genola 1.25 hours away and Brayden has Karate. We don't all get home until after 9 on this day...SAD) this year we got to celebrate it running around our crazy kids that we love around all day!   Brayden and Trav got to have dinner and a little game time together and Tyler and I stopped at Chick~fil~a for our valentine's dinner . It was delish!
Hope you all had a great day!

My Karate kid!

Doesn't he look tough ?
Tonight Brayden got his purple belt!
He did such a great job on his test! I am amazed at how far he has come. (It seems like he just started karate not too long ago.) I am glad he has found something he loves.
Way to go Brayd!!!

COMPLETE DENIAL!

How did we go from this...

to this... and so fast?

Let me tell you what triggered this whole, I can't believe my kids are growing up so fast pity party this time;
So Brayden brought me a paper that said "Please make a 30 min appointment with your child’s counselor so we can register him/her for HIGH SCHOOL" WHAT!!!! How can my little guy be registering for High School already? (Just so you know I am in complete denial and I am taking the latest appointment possible) I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes about now  wondering if I really do get this upset.... just talk to Trav he will assure you I really am this crazy! In fact I told him I just wouldn't go, I wasn't ready, so he said he would (and I quote) "one of us has to be responsible and go register him" I told him "I am totally responsible! Tt is the rational part I always have a hard time with. It gives me a knot in the pit of my stomach to think about how fast my kids are growing up. But I was brave and called to make our appointment. While I was rereading the note (so I wouldn’t sound like a totally idiot) I noticed one of the last sentences has a number to call for any extra counseling that may be needed… hmmm, I wonder if this is for all the moms who can’t believe their kids are going to be in High School…I am sure I can’t be the only one freaking out!
                                                                RIGHT?
Wish us all luck!

I just love this girl!
She too is growing up so fast, but unlike her brother she hates it almost as much as I do. The other day we were talking about when she gets older and she said "Mom, I will live at home until I get married at 25 or 28 and then we will live no more than 5 mins away and I promise I will call you at least 10 times a day!"
OH HOW I WISH!!!!!!!!

Brayden 14 years old

This kid is my FAVORITE little man EVER!

I can't believe how fast he is growing up. (It breaks my heart)

I keep telling him to SLOW DOWN and he just smiles, gives me a hug and laughs.

He is such a great kid and brother. The kids stayed home the other night while Trav and I snuck away on a little date and when we got home we went and tucked the kids in, I asked Brayd how it went. He said "good" (he is famous for his one word answers) but when I went to tuck Tyler in she went on and on about what a good big brother Brayd was and how he played with her and was so nice to her...Aww, just what a mom wants to hear! (And believe you me; Tyler doesn't just give out complements unless they are earned)

I am sure I have said more than I am allowed. So I better just leave you to marvel at how much he has grown this year.

P.S. he is now 5'8" and wears and 11.5 shoe

Happy New year!

This post was originally written on 1-2-12
However, I tried for over a week to get the video's taken of all the activities that were mentioned below and couldn't get them to work...bummer!
So this will be a picture less video less post :(
I guess you are just going to have to use your imagination on  this one.

I can't believe it is already 2012!!!
It has been one of those years when it seems the days go by slow, but the year just seems to fly!
We had a lovely Christmas. My new favorite thing about Christmas is the stockings. Now that "you know who" doesn't come anymore ( I really thought all the fun would be gone) we have started a new tradition where we draw names and do their stocking ( BTW it is a secret and you don't know who has you until Christmas morning). It is the BEST idea EVER!! One night for FHE before Christmas we go shopping (don't worry we all have our phones and reusable non see through bags) I can't believe the thought and time that goes into these stockings, and to watch the excitement of the one giving... priceless!
We should have done this years ago!!!!
Another highlight and probably my favorite thing this year was we were ALL home for the break! I LOVED every second of it ! And don't you worry we didn't waste a min of it.
It was full of shopping, going to the movies, Swimming, Ice skating, Putting up the base board in the salon, few little home repairs (just maintenance things that get over looked) organizing, game playing ( video and the board kind) Ringing in the New Year with friends, and some serious snuggle time!
So far the New Year is off to a great start!

WOW

WAIT...this was written on 12/3/2011 why did it just now post???
I really need to update my blogger!

I can't believe it has been over a month since I last posted. Man where did November go?

Well, here are a few things that has kept us busy...
Tyler's book report that she did all by herself. Wish I was as talented as she is!
Can you guess the book???

We have a new love for racket ball and the Rec center.
best place to burn energy in the winter hands down!!

We also had a great Thanksgiving and TONS of fun shopping the day after (this year I took Tyler and Brylie) All I can say is these girls are DIE HARDS we started at 9 pm and got home the next day at around 1 pm. Then they played all day before crashing at around 9:30 pm (after taking a Tylenol for their headaches.)
